A little sweat equity goes a long way toward improving our community. A little sweat equity goes a long way toward improving our community.

Every year, the Anopi Nation gives back to our community by participating in a neighborhood improvement project. We’ve planted trees, painted schools, planted flowers at a school and more. See how much good a positive spirit and a little elbow grease can accomplish.

This year we'll help Heal the BayThis year we'll help Heal the Bay

Heal the Bay is a powerful symbol of how just one person can make an incredible difference in the local community. Back in 1985, Dorothy Green decided to organize concerned Angelenos and end the dumping of incompletely treated sewage into the Bay.

Heal the Bay began out of this grassroots effort and since then, more than 100,000 volunteers and supporters like you have made incredible strides in improving the quality of the Santa Monica Bay and our beaches and neighborhoods.

You don’t have to be an activist like Dorothy Green to make a big impact. Whether you live in Malibu, the South Bay, Silverlake or Compton, whether you have just a few minutes, or a few days to get involved, and whether you're young or old, you can take some simple, direct actions to become a more active member of your community and help protect the ocean and beach you love.
